I know most business jets are operated by fairly small organisations, and quite often just the pilot themselves, who want to focus on just flying the aircraft. The multitude of new rules makes the scheme seem impenetrable, but I'm going to be controversial here and say that I think compliance with the EU Emissions Trading Scheme is easy, even for small emitters. What makes it difficult is the number of rules which do not apply to you as an operator, and knowing which rules you can ignore, and which ones you cannot.

This is why this site has been called ETS Checklist, as it is designed to set out a simple step-by-step process for complying rather than requiring you to read through page after page of guidance or legislation. This section of the site is still under construction, but once complete it will contain checklists showing you exactly what you need to do to comply with the scheme.
